Down side of the 8800 right now....700-800 bucks a pop
sli mode 1400-1600 for a set ( cost more then the puter itself)
sli quad 2100-3200 for a set
its going to be a long time before we play with it

Actually you can get an 8800 GTS for $400, but wait until around January and the prices will come down when ATI comes out with their X10 card. Wait until around June and the prices will really drop when X10 games are in demand and newer cards come out.
PS - That chick was hot and she was actually created as a graphical copy of the same girl in real life.

- Maximum PC, Jan 2007 p30 - 32 -
- A single 8800 card faster then dual X1950 XTX - crossfire, dual 7900 GTX - sli, or 7950 GX2.
- It can run high dynamic-range lighting and antialiasing at the same time ( 8800 w/ 4x antialiasing & 16x anisotropic filtering posted a better 3DMark06 score then a 7950 GX2 @ 0 AA & 8x anisotropic filtering)
- The GTX is the best edition
Personally I hate nVidia's drivers so much that I dislike their cards., even so, this card sounds pretty freaking sweet. Hopefully ATI will not stay so far in the back of the pack and release something that will actaully compete not just catch up.
