Ok, so I've unistalled both BF2 and SF twice now. First time, used the uninstaller, and the second time I used the RegEdit to manually delete it (EA has a guide on how to do it). Before the first unistall, the game would get just past the BF2 splash screen then lock up the fuck up. Now the game will crash at random, it did it twice on me this evening, once as I clicked the Join Game button after the map had loaded, then once again while dropping some heavy ordanance on a damn Tunguska. Can't find any answers at the EA Knowledge Base area. I've updated every driver I can possibly think of, and it is still doing it. I'm going to through this damn thing out the fucking window with the quickness pretty soon. Please, any suggestions would be stupendous. (Sorry for the long read, just trying to cover all the bases now instead of later.)

i get that the crash every once and a while also when i click join, and have had some weird crashes also say like a huge explosion around me or something. but its randaom and doesnt happen too often. does it happen to you all the time or just randomly? I havent had a crash out in a while, other then my "connection lost" shit i get but it seems if i keep my bf2 defraged (well my drive), i dont get that other crash, or at least havent in a while. Try giving your drive a good defraging. and dont use the shitty windows defragger. use after market software. if you want a pretty damn good defragger that most of us use here it is http://team-moab.zftp.com/diskeeper.exe works 10 times better then the windows one, its from executive software

ok my damn computer is doing it again.....this time it has happened only when a grenade has gone off right near me, but the game doesnt crash, it just locks up and then I get some really weird ass noises coming out of my speakers...like screeching, clicks, and hums....kinda like a humpback whale on crack

at first it was the nades were appearing to cause it, then it became totally random. you can ask umm Nick, George, I know drake was there for a bit, Matt, they were all witnesses to my join, get three shots off, and leave because my game locked up.
