i have developed a recent problom on bf2, bf2142, this problem is as follows, i start sp game or join a mp server get to the end of loading and my game crash, also my pb dont work for either games. why? please please please help

solution try changing u graphics card and then try, or u can reinstall everything

i've manually update, reinstalled it, just about every trick in the book

Well since I have Windows Xp this is how I go about solving my BF2 issues:

1. I would uninstall bf2 completely including profiles and the rest of the junk.

2. I would then run a good registry repair/removal program to completely remove your system of any BF2/Ea file entries(if ya need one just give me a yell and I can help ya out). Make sure after un-installing, it didnt leave any BF2 folders laying around anywhere such as c:/program files/EA , C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data and C:\Documents and Settings\Your user account\My Documents

3. I then go and check to see if I had the latest Drivers for my vid card and install as needed. If needed I would uninstall my vid drivers reboot and install newly downloaded drivers.
ATI drivers
NVIDIA drivers

4. make sure Im up-to-date on all of my windows updates.

5.After I made sure that my system was up-to-date and EA was off of my comp, I would then proceed with the fresh install of BF2, SF, patch( http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/B..._Patch_1.41.exe ), AF, EF, patch. But I have them all on seperate discs, you may be lucky enough to have the full dvd. If you have the complete dvd then install all games you want then patch.

After bf2 is re-installed and I knew it worked, then I would perform the first two steps for 2142 but stray folders would be under the Electrnic Arts folders not EA.
