New Features
- Air dropped vehicles:
Squad members can now send a request up the chain of command for a vehicle to be dropped at their location.
- Co-op:
Co-op Mode allows you to play Single Player levels on the Internet and LAN with both AI controlled bots and human players. Several new options have been created that will allow the server creator to modify how the bots behave in game.
Number of Bots: This setting allows you to determine the total number of bots that will spawn in game.
Bot Ratio: This setting allows you to determine the percentage of total bots that will spawn for each team. For Example, setting this value to 25 means that 25% of the total bots will spawn in Team 1, and 75% in Team 2. Team 1 is always the MEC, Chinese, or their allies, While Team 2 is always the USA, EU, and their allies.
Bot Difficulty: This setting determines the skill level of the bots. 10 is easyest, 100 is the most difficult.
- Default Kit Selection:
The kit that you used last is remembered at the beginning of the round and between maps.
Bug Fixes and Gameplay Tweaks
- Fixed issues with remote console and Linux server
- Prevented ban list from being cleared in the event of a server crash.
- Fixed the bug where helicopters abandoned in the air would continue flying.
- Fixed issue with player not properly ranking up on servers where they continuously play.
- If the player joins a squad while dead, the player will not be able to use the squad leader as a spawn point until they have respawned once.
- Flag Capture bar now reacts accurately to players entering the capture radius.
- Fixed bug where friendly vehicles showed as valid targets
- Friendly Vehicle Lock: Lock-on weapons do not lock on to friendly vehicles.
The box with an X trough it will still appear, but a lock tone will not sound and then if fired, the missile will not track the friendly target.
- Fixed bug that altered mini map functionality
- Adjusted missile count on BF2SF helicopters.
- Fixed bug with Special Forces rank names.
- Fixed repairing HUD for the engineer when in a vehicle
- Added custom messages for server so that the private messages may be sent directly to a player. Messages may be sent from the server using the following command in the console.
host.sgl_sendTextMessage( playerid, channelid, typeid, text, flags )
Here is an example: host.sgl_sendTextMessage( 0,14,1, "Message Goes Here", 0 )
- Adjusted award criteria
- Added deterrent system against alternative ranking ???? does that mean
- Fixed Linux server crash: A ranked server that can no longer connect to the GameSpy backend will become an unranked server.
- Fixed a tech hang when creating a single player account from an offline account
- Fixed crash when switching from BF2 to BF2:SF (or vice versa)

Sorry Nlsme but I hate that crap.
You choose to use your flying skills or your TV skills. To much power in one vehicle being able to do both.

- Added deterrent system against alternative rankingProbably a max kill in a certain amount of time. ANTI stat padding. No more Kill and Medic revive and Kill over and over. It will probably count the 1st 2 kill and than wont give you the credit anymore.
Or Max times a player may be killed without respawning.
I hear you on the bug fixes 1st but the Air drop sounds nice. I didnt read anything about balance with air vehicles. The J21 needs to be balanced with the US planes or the US planes need to be able to lock as good as the J21.

J-10/Mig-29 vs f-35b
there is a balance with the jets
F35b has 600 minigun bullets
j10/mig29 300 minigun bullets
Just be on the team with the superior jet thats all or if you cant dont fly

What does that # of bullets mean if you can't get behind them to shoot at them because the jet can't physically turn that hard. Really dude, it only lets you whore a little longer before having to reload.

I agree...
Bullets mean shit, thats not balance. The opinion get on a team with a J21 or dont fly is put simply quite unfair.
It gives one team total air support and the other team might as well not fly because the jet sucks unless your uber like Sheep.
Every time I fly the J21 on another pub server they pretty much abandon the sky because its not even worth it to use the plane and get shot down every 2 mins.
It needs a patch BIG TIME. Then everyone can fly and both teams can engage in air to air combat on a fair and balanced level.
Without that you have Jets just pounding ground targets without any fear of being shot down and that ruins the game.

i dont think the heli thing will not work cause at ea it says abandoned i dont do that
i think what they are saying is a healthy heli will fly for 5 mins with noone in it,instead it will not spin up rather tilt down and crash,and half of the time i get my shot off in less then 2 secs so i should be allright,and it will still only count the main driver/pilot on taking flags so yes you still have to get out to help and receive credit for caps,i dont think they will ever make it to where i cant tv cause it was designed like that on purpose,i was given the secret on how to do it by an ea employee

Since your on my team and I watch you do it to others I dont mind.
But when someone on another server would rather fly solo and not take a Co-pilot because he wants to fly and shoot TV's it pisses me off big time.
I understand what your saying by "Abandoned" But im betting that it means no one is flying the chopper. But maybe your right.
IMHO no offence to the TV strat, It needs to go.

That is only in a recent patch. Maybe it was a bug. In an older patch you can sit in the passenger seat and get credit for a cap.
What do you think they mean by it then?
Maybe its that JUMP in the wrong direction when someone on your team enteres the area to cap.

Waht they mean is the the flag will respond faster to more people and that shit if they bring back passengers cap flags too
Mashtuur city will be the only map i play "BLACKHAWK Whoring" oh yea
Pilot "support" gunners Medic the rest engineers to repair 500+ rounds and + Ea /Dice are not going to let that happen again it will be to easy to rank up

i find that there are only a small percentage of people who truly know how to be a good gunner. most people shoot there missiles at ramdom shit and when they are needed they are waiting for it too reload. the halfway decent ones still wait till i start shooting to fire thus waisting my rockets. the really good gunners are the ones who know what i am doing. i spot most everything i kill out first,if i am able to spot them that is a perfect shot for a hellfire, i can then move on to the next target(wich i have a full set of rockets to take out with).in certain ways it is a disadvantage to have no gunner.like on wake ,there are tons of infantry that the gun woulkd tear up,but with most gunners i get blasted out of the sky.how many times i have just nose dived or hit a mountain or a friendly jet,plus if i am switched and a jet has good timing they hit me with the guns and i am a still targert that cant respond,just go straight up.i dont think i make the best gunner but i can fly .one other thing is i get cleaner shots,i notice when i am a gunner my hellfire is all glitchy, but when i am solo it is crystal clear.some gunners fire the hellfire at the ground like 3 feet in front of me and it lags me out,and i got a pretty good vc so i can only imagine a shitty one.its not too easy to get the shot off right but once i do i am deadly guiding it..if they do get rid of the switch i would like an eject button so i could stay in but kick the shitty gunners. certain peeps i love flying with and others i like gunnin for,but a high percentage of people dont know what the fuck they are doing. they fire the gun at armor when i am setting up a shot and blow it maybe get us both killed by alerting the armor.but i really need to make a vid of it just in case..

I notice I fly very fast sometimes, coming in really fast for the kill with the rockets, and ok gunners complain, but sometimes I sit there waiting for him to fire the missile and he doesn't know how to use it. I communicate well with pilots and gunners alike, but I have notices most of the time my missiles are glitchy. Many times it looks to me like the missiles go right through him but everyone tells me I plain out missed. It's depressing, and I was a better gunner before some of the patches. They need to fix that whole glitchy thing for me..and the splash on all the guns except the Mi-28 suck.
